Are Your People Living Them?
What is Your Organizational Culture Definition?
Every Great Leader is Passionate about their Corporate Values. Are your values WEB CANDY, GOLD FRAMED LOBBY DÉCOR or the LIFE BLOOD of your company?
The biggest challenge with Corporate Values is that they MEAN SOMETHING DIFFERENT to everyone and they are NOT MEASURABLE. For example, INTEGRITY is a wonderful Corporate Value. While it may mean “keeping commitments” to your C-Suite, another employee could likely define it as “not ratting on a fellow employee for stealing company supplies.”
Everyone Living Your Corporate Values
“Communication, Respect, Integrity, Excellence…Corporate Values of Enron… 55% of all Fortune 100 companies claim integrity is a core value, 49% espouse customer satisfaction, and 40% tout team-work. While these are inarguably good qualities, such terms hardly provide a distinct blueprint for employee behavior.”
